If you’ve always wanted to step into the world of multi-day expeditions but didn't know where to start, this is your gateway. In our small, welcoming teams, you’ll build practical, hands-on expedition skills at a manageable pace. We don't expect you to be a seasoned polar explorer or have any prior experience at all. Just a reasonable level of fitness, a willingness to learn and be a team player!
Our mission is to provide you with the expert tuition and guiding, the high-end kit, and unshakeable confidence to explore the wild on your own terms.
It’s worth noting that our expeditions take place in the true Arctic, well beyond the treeline and deep within the vast expanse of the tundra. It means you get to experience limitless horizons and the magical, raw beauty of the authentic Arctic environment, fully supported by our team every step of the way.
- Day 1: Transfer from Tromso Airport to accommodation, evening welcome & dinner.
- Chalet accommodation
- Day 2: Safety Briefing followed by a presentation on how to stay warm in extreme environments.
- Introduction to back-country skiing, the basics
- Lunch at the cabin
- Introduction to snowshoeing
- Chalet accommodation
- Day 3: Ski to a remote shelter for lunch. Skills sessions en-route.

- Day 4: Ski on a frozen lake and snowshoe day, taking a pulk (sled) with us for pulling practice.

- Day 5: (Bad weather day) Prep for overnight- tents, stoves and packing pulks.

- Day 6: Optional – Depart on skis to a remote Arctic campsite (we may use a hut).
- Camp/hut/chalet accommodation
- Day 7: Return to cabin. Dry kit. Farewell dinner.

Return Transfer to Tromso Airport.
Full gear list issued on booking. If you are a regular hiker, you will have most of this already.
We provide you with the most expensive and specialist items to avoid unnecessary expense on kit you may only use once or twice.
